Bigg Boss 5’ will go on air from October 2

Bigg Boss production house Endemol India and Colors TV is bringing season 5 of Bigg Boss titled as Bigg Boss 5. The previous seasons of Bigg Boss have changed the definition of Indian Television and this season is here redefine it. Bigg Boss 5 will definitely bring some young-blood, celebrities who wants to be in news for all the wrong reasons and one or more from common men (not Pravesh).

After a string of 30-40 second promos, tonight, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt will be seen dancing to Bigg Boss’ new title track, Masti Ka Mela Hai, Full On Jhamela Hai, Yahan Teacher Bhi Chela Hai.... The video was filmed in the last week of July, with Golmaal and Singham director Rohit Shetty Calling The shots. It took the team, comprising composer duo Sajid-Wajid, choreographer Mudassar and the channel’s crew, 24 hours to shoot.

The minute-long video will first break on the official websites of the show and the channel, before being aired in a primetime slot. “We wanted youngsters, collegians and office-goers to catch it before anyone else because this is a group of young Indians that’s online most of the time. And their feedback is pretty instant. We don’t want any segment of our audiences to miss out on catching the video when it goes on air today,” points out Rajesh Iyer, associate vice president, marketing, Colors, the show’s broadcaster. A couple of months ago, even Amitabh Bachchan’s first Kaun Banega Crorepati promo had hit the web before being aired on television.

This is the second time that the channel has created a music video to promote the show. For the last season, the video featured only Salman Khan, since he was anchoring all by himself. Considering the video was a hit, isn’t the channel under pressure to deliver a better video this time with the two actor hosts instead of one? “We’re keeping our fingers crossed that it’s as big a hit if not bigger this time,” beams Iyer, reminiscing that both his super-star hosts have assured him it will do well.

The video’s director, Rohit Shetty recalls, “Salman and Sanju saw the footage on a monitor on the sets and they were convinced about their chemistry, which comes across really well, thanks to all the spontaneous additions they made to the script. Salman hadn’t made his illness official back then, so he was very professional. He didn’t let anyone know that he was likely to undergo surgery.”
